Off we went, heading north to Garland, Texas to attend a Servant Keeper Workshop. Servant Keeper is the Church Management Software that we have chosen to help us in managing Altar to Altar Ministries. We have already experienced the need for the software, and the training was available at a great time for us. It also afforded us the opportunity to meet up with our daughter Ariene; she is currently serving in ministry a couple hours from our training location. She was able to meet us in Garland for the workshop; Ariene is assisting us with some of the administrative tasks among other things, so she hung out with us for the evening.
Our workshop was being held at the Holiday Inn in Garland. After we pulled in and got parked on the far side of the hotel parking lot, we were ready to connect with the Weeks Family; they are longtime friends from Alaska that now live just a few miles from our training location. It was great to see them again. After greeting each other, it wasn’t too long and we were walking across the parking lot to the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant that was literally almost next door to the hotel. We had a great time catching up with them; it’s been many years since we have seen them all. After “stuffing” ourselves, we headed back to the coach and hung out for a while. We had a great time of food and fellowship.
The evening was far spent after a long travel day; we finished the night out praying with our longtime friends; after plenty of hugs, we called it a night, and the Weeks family headed home. It was great to see them again. We soon hit the sack, ready for our workshop in the morning.
