Happy Valentine’s Day from Pastors Robert and Adriene
Our love for each other is immeasurable, but we are always reminded that God showed us the greatest example of His love, when he gave His only begotten son for us. It’s only through God’s love, that we can love one another in a way that honors Him.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (KJV)
(Fort Parker State Park - Mexia, Texas - Day 4)
The campground was now empty, with the exception of one family that came in the night prior, and us; they soon pulled out as well. Today was our checkout day, but we didn’t have to be out until 2 p.m., so I wasn’t in any hurry to leave such a beautiful location. I went out and did a bit of a “photo shoot” with “Isaiah”, our travel mascot, while Adriene was relaxing and watching a movie inside the coach. With us being the only family in the park, it was very quiet and all you could hear were the birds chirping. I took the opportunity to walk over to the fishing pier and do some writing. It was really relaxing, but after writing for a while, I headed back to the coach to start “running my checklist”, and preparing for our pending departure.
After getting things taken care of outside, I headed inside and Adriene had already started preparing the inside. It wasn’t too long and we were ready to do our final outside disconnections. On most occasions, Adriene would take care of the inside, and I would handle the outside, but this trip I wanted Adriene to get familiar with all that is involved in preparing the outside for departure, so she came outside and read the checklist items to me as I demonstrated it all. Even if she never does it, I wanted her to know how everything worked, “just in case”.
After a final walk-around, it was time for us to fire up “Destiny” and get ready to pull out. This was such an awesome trip, it is often difficult to leave, but we always know that it is time to celebrate what the Lord has done, and move on to the next location. We joined together in prayer, and we were on our way …
